Finally, I am back to this blog. It's not that I don't wanna write here, but I have been too busy with work. Everytime I get home, I am already exhausted and feel like doing nothing. But yeah... here I am writing this one new cool entry.

Actually there have been a lot of things going on in my head now. First of all, I am tired of working, mentally and physically. I feel that the pressure at workplace is too much for me. But, I gotta tell you that I experience so much different things from this working lifestyle. I see so much broader picture of what life is all about. Here I gotta tell you quite a bit of story from last week. Let me start this with a question. What would you do if you did something wrong that could cause someone else a lot of money? How would you feel when you know that you are responsible for one big mistake? And what would you do to take up the responsibility? These must be some hard questions to answer. And these questions might have come to my great ex-superintendent at my company. Yeah, he might be responsible for what have happened last Monday. But, here I am not sure whether it's all his fault.

 

Anyway, he answered those questions with one decision. He quitted.

 

I respect his decision. I know he's a great man. He's already old, 60+ years old or so, still very strong though. He's got so many ideas to get his job done. He speaks up his mind when something is not right. A very friendly person that I know and very very very very so so so easy to work with. All I know is that he is that one awesome guy that has good sense of humour. But yeah, he quitted. No more Mr. Geoff upson.

 

Actually, i was so sad when i heard that he quitted. I didn't even have the chance to say goodbye. But, I just want to wish him a greater future.

 

OK..... stop talking about work........... I am exhausted!!!!!!

 

Now, the second thing in my mind is that school term is starting soon. Well, I am not going back to school this September, but I am taking one online course. All I hope is that I have enough time to study and do all the assignments. I don't want to slack off anymore. After working, I realize how I love my school life. Nah!!! What I mean is I miss slacking off, sleeping until late, and waking up the next late morning....... hahahaa....... I must sound like I love sleeping. Yes!!! I really do, a lot.

 

Anyway, my friends are now back to vancouver. I am so happy they are all back, except Shiela. It means that weekend will be more fun. hehehe.............. I wanna have great weekends until December since we barely have good weekends when in school.

You may have heard this line from one of the greatest movie of all time, Spiderman. Lately, I just found out how true this line is. It has deep meaning and really applies to our lives.

 

I have heard this line from two sources. One is from Spiderman. and another one, believe it or not, is from the Bible. (don't remember the verse though)

Actually, not the exact same words. But, what I read from bible is much like what this line is supposed to mean.

 

Hmm........

 

For me personally, it really applies to my life. When i got this coop job, I was so happy. I couldn't be much happier than this (hiperbola......:()....... but then I started to really see that I have so many things to learn. So many things I need to fix from my life. So many small things that I am not supposed to do.

 

And so many more things I need to be responsible for. I can say that getting this coop job means I just entered my next level of life. Everything is so new. I gotta see the real world. I gotta see the broader picture of what life is, of what lies before it. And then I found more meaning in my life, what I am supposed to do with my life.

 

With great power comes great responsibility. Especially when my manager gives me more n more challenging task, there I found myself a bit scared how big my reponsibility was. It was a small task at first. Then, it started to be greater and greater task which required me to stay "awake".

 

As time goes by, my manager starts to put his faith in me. There, I got so many more power, i can do anything I want. But then, I also have to be responsible of what I am doing. I can't just let his faith in me gone by doing stupid things. I have to keep that faith / belief.

 

It also applies to life. I believe God has had faith in me. He has put me in this world. It means that God has faith in me that I am gonna be able to fulfill His purpose in me in this world. He gives me power to do everything, to choose eveything, by my own judgement. That's why I have great responsibility in this world. I can not let this responsibility destroy what God has prepared for me. I wanna use this responsibility to get the reward that He has prepared me in the end.

 

I believe we all have that great responsibility. Because we all have power. That power is just awesome. We can always use that power how we wanna use it. Just remember that you have to be reponsible on how u use your power.

 

That power can be greater and greater when we use it how we are supposed to use it. Otherwise, it will just destroy you.

 

So guys, be responsible for your life!!!! Do the right thing! You control your life, you choose everything in your life. And you have to be responsible for everything that u've chosen.

Last night, I watched Superman Returns. wwooowww, this movie is super cool. It has action, drama, comedy, all in one movie called Superman returns. Started a bit slow at the beginning, then become more interesting / tensed in the middle, and end nicely.

 

My friend, Joshua, even said that it was the best movie he has had ever seen. hahahaa....... hiperbola banget!!!

 

Anyway, u should watch this movie guyz!!!!!! Worth it...... 2 hours and half long.

 

What I learned from this movie: hmm... I think a girl can easily like a man whom she feels safe with.... (just my guess... hehehee)

 

I think this movie also reflects the line above ("with great power, comes great responsibility").

superman has the power which human beings don't have. He is reponsible for that power. he is responsible for what he does with that power. Luckily, he uses that power wisely, to help humans. See how big the impact to the people in the city of Metropolis. It's just awesome when you think that someone will save u whenever you're about to have an accident (well, it's just fictional). hhahaa......

 

Otherwise, only if superman doesn't use his power wisely, what could the world have been?????

My friend once asked, "what kind of man is considered metrosexual?"

and then I said this and that without really knowing exactly what kind of people metrosexual men are.....

Soon after that i tried to search on the internet, and here we go, the definion and attributes of metrosexual. I hope we all can really know what is meant by metrosexual. So that we don't assume anything wrong from them..... Well, at least u need to know that they are not "necessarily" gay. U know what i mean??? Those myths among our people....

The newly popular media and marketing buzzword seems to mean different things to different people, but in general, a metrosexual :

is a modern, usually single man in touch with himself and his feminine side;
grooms and buffs his head and body, which he drapes in fashionable clothing both at work or before hitting an evening hotspot;
has discretionary income to stay up to date with the latest hairstyles, the newest threads, and the right shaped shoes;
confuses some guys when it comes to his sexuality;
makes these same guys jealous of his success with the ladies -- for many metros, to interact with women is to flirt;
impresses the women who enjoy his company with the details that make the man;
Among them:

his appreciation for literature, cinema, or other arts
his flair for cooking
his savoir faire in choosing the perfect wine and music
his eye for interior design
is a city boy or, if living a commute away from downtown, is still urbane, if not rightly urban;
enjoys reading men's magazines...

That is where I, your trained, vigilant lexicographer comes in, fellow struggler, to guide you through the maze that is 21st century English.

metrosexual is quite a capacious term. Others you may not have heard seem to zero in on one or a few aspects of the male persona. Here are a few other terms you might want to add to your growing lexicon:

Primp: A very well groomed guy who always has women around, but never seems to go for any one in particular. Behind his back, people speculate about his sexuality. More of a "straight gay guy" than a "gay straight guy," to use Sex and the City terminology.

Martha Studly: The guy who has a set of variously sized throw pillows that not only match each other, complement the living room upholstery and decor concept (that's right, concept !), but accent the next room's assemblage as well. Hey, if it impresses the ladies, then "that's a good thing."

Skexual: A male or female whose sexuality -- and sometimes even sex -- is so impossible to determine that s/he just seems sketchy from the get-go. Think "Pat" from Saturday Night Live .
